What does it mean when I look for a name and it is available but the software says that I can't purchase it because there is a duplicate entry?

It means that the name is in someone's account but has not been actually purchased yet.

Is my billing contact information going to be shown in the whois?

I registered and purchased a name, then noticed that I misspelled it. Can I delete it and get my money back?
